Grand Blue is the second funniest anime I’ve ever watched after Gintama. The anime consists of a variety of colorful characters. It explores a very carefree life mixing it with many different elements like adult humor, diving, and drinking. It makes you laugh so hard that for the next few days, you smile just by remembering the funny moments.
Ever since I finished watching it, I’ve been craving something similar. So, I did some research, found some similar anime, and watched them all. And In this article, I will share with you 10 of the best comedy anime like Grand Blue.
But before I start with the list of the Top 10 Anime Similar to Grand Blue, I want to mention a manga that is very similar to Grand Blue and is even by the same artist – Kimitake Yoshioka. Sadly, the manga hasn’t been adapted into an anime yet.
Alt. Title: Temple
Kimitake Yoshioka is a talented manga artist best known for highly popular manga like Grand Blue and Amagi Brilliant Park. He is both the author and artist of TenPuru manga.
The manga follows Akegami, the son of a very infamous playboy. Even his last name is notorious because of his father’s escapades. Even he ended up becoming like his father, partying all day and causing trouble everywhere.
So, he comes up with a plan. He decides to become a Buddhist monk and try to reach peace of mind in a temple. But the temple he decides to join is not like other temples. It is full of beautiful women. He even knows one of them.
What is he going to do, especially with the genes of debauchery his father passed on to him? The girls at the temple have their own problems. Maybe Akegami will be able to help them.
If you like Grand Blue then you will definitely love this as well and the fact that it has the same artist makes it even more similar to Grand Blue. The comedy in these two is really similar.
